Beary Cute Fancy Fold

Sit Back and Relax, Friends, with this sentiment from the MFP mini Adirondack Summer stamp set.  The little bears are nestled under their umbrella and are just enjoying being together.   I stamped the umbrella from another set and inserted it between the bear couple.  This is a fancy fold card, a Stand Up Z Fold card,  for the TTSTV--that's Tutorial Time at SpeedyTV challenge at Mark's Finest Papers.  It uses DP (designer paper) and two different label dies from SB (Spellbinders).  Don't you just love those abbreviations?  Stop in again soon!

One Layer with a Twist--A Suspension Card

Hi, again!  A one layer card is a challenge since I have become addicted to dies, embossing folders, layers, and embellishments.  I believe that my style is quite uncomplicated even using those items, but a TRUE one layer card is difficult to do.  I had a few CAS cards in mind, but I decided if it was only one layer, it was a good time to try something different inside--a spinner or suspension card.  I hadn't done a spinner/suspension card in quite a while.  This card fits a challenge at MFP/Simple Salutations .  Check out all the other one layer cards and thanks so much for stopping by!

Vellum Black-Eyed Susan

Today's card was inspired by my Bush Daisies that are in bloom.  It uses both dry and wet/heat embossing, a flower image from MFP's Black Eyed Susan for Encouragement set that you can see here, a daisy punch, my favorite color ribbon,  and follows the challenge requirements at Sketch with a Twist at Speedy TV.  This card will be entered into:  365 Cards--Welcome Spring,  Bearly Mine Challenges-spring flowers, Word Art Wednesday--anything goes. We're having hot days here this week and many of you aren't even having Spring yet.  FL is sure to have a hot summer if we're reaching 90 degrees in mid-April.  Thanks for stopping by!  Take care and have a great day!

Mile High Cake

Being "height challenged" as I am, my waistline and my scale like this kind of Mile High Cake the best.  The Inspiration Challenge at Speedy TV has a photo of earrings with graduated cubes.  I find myself wondering why I don't check out my own jewelry box for inspirations.  What came to mind was a layer cake.  I never make layer cakes so I really appreciate them when I see them in a bakery or at an event.  Since I always need birthday cards, it seemed like the way to go.  Even though it has pink in it, I think it would work for a masculine card as well.  Think strawberry icing.  Inside, in the smallest stamp imaginable, it says, "Happy Birthday, Friend!" It will be on the Addicted to CAS site as well.   Hope you like it and thanks for peeking in again today. If you have time, leave a comment.  They are always appreciated!

All About Love Wreath

Hello, Friends!  For those who love purple or aqua as a combo, I have a card for you.  A white embossed heart wreath from MFP called All About Love with layers of dry embossing and dp. More dry embossing for the card blank as well.  The challenge at MFP/Speedy Fox & Friends calls for white embossing.  It's a technique I often forget to use so the challenge was a good reminder.  Thanks for stopping by today.

First Fish

Hello, Bloggers!  I have something new to share with you today-- a scrapbook page for a challenge at MFP/Speedy TV's Scrapbook Challenge.   We are lucky to live on a river and Don remembered fond days as a child fishing near his home.  Well, he has fished and fished without much luck.  Lots of fishing, not much catching as they say.  Well, one day he caught this little guy and he was so excited!  He had me take photo after photo, but the photos that just got put into a pile of photos on the computer desk.  So, today, I brought out his fish photos and here you have it!  Don made me promise to use "manly" colors and not to put on frilly embellishments.  Men!

Butterfly Vellum Window Card

Hello, Bloggers!  Today's card is something I call a Vellum Window Card.  The card is three panels with the first panel folded inside.  Cut a window in both of those panels and then dry emboss the middle section.  I inked one side of the embossing folder.  Insert your vellum image between panels 1 and 2, decorate, and you have a lovely Vellum Window Card.  I am entering  the Friends of Speedy TV challenge to use vellum, and also stop by Flutterby Wednesday's to see more lovely butterfly creations.  This card will also be entered in these challenges:  Joanna Sheen's Challenge--Spring into Spring;  Pile It On--embossing;   Scrappy Frogs--Think Spring;  Avenue 613--Anything Goes;  Word Art Wednesdays--Anything Goes;  Victorine Original Stamps--Springtime Flowers.    I hope this will inspire you to use vellum.  Stop in again!

It's Raining Flowers

Good morning!  I got up early this morning to finish this card to share with you due to an impending challenge deadline.  It's difficult to take a good photo of an easel card on a gray day in FL   I wanted you to see the sentiment because it set the tone of the card.  I cut out the umbrella and inserted it above the hugging bears.  It's raining flowers instead of rain drops because they are in love, love, love!  The cute bears set the direction for pastels. Brown Sugar required an easel card, and this is what I ended up with so I hope you like pastels.   If you can, follow my blog or make a comment when you stop by.  This card will be entered in the following challenges:  Creative Card Crew--cloud background;  Die Cuttin' Divas--die frame and sentiment frame;  Paper Take Weekly--BINGO, die cuts/free/buttons;  Pinspirational Challenges 52--rainy day, couple hugging;  Tuesday Throwdown 142--fancy folds, easel card;  Paper Pretties  blog--buttons; Simon Says Stamp--April showers;  Brown Sugar--easel card;    DLArt Thankful Thursday--rain;  Crafty Ribbons--pink and green;  Milk Coffee Challenge--Welcome Spring;  Live Laugh Stamp/Word Play--weather;  The Pink Elephant--pastels,  Forever Friends Biweekly -- Die cuts &/or punches;  Wags & Whiskers--April showers/Spring;  My Time to Craft--Up in the Sky, One Stop Craft Challenge--pastels; Rogue Redhead Designs--April Showers.   DT members, if I should inadvertently miss a challenge rule, please delete my entry or notify me.  Thanks.

Double Twisted Easel--Imagine That!

Hello Friendly Gull!

Hello, Stampers and Bloggers!  Today I have a card that sends a greeting to a friend.  Even my gulls seem to be saying hello.  I cut out clouds, stamped the flying gull (SU), stamped the gull on the pier (MFP), and added a sentiment from The Angel Company.  This card is based on the Sketch with a Twist challenge at MFP/SpeedyTV. It will also be entered at Aud Sentiment Challenge--for a guy, and Creative Card Crew Challenge--clouds.    I hope you enjoyed stopping by and will come again soon!

White on White

Hello again, Friends!  Today I have a white on white card to share with you.  The layers are popped up and an SU sentiment sets the tone.  The image is from the Hero Arts Creative Trees set.  I love the Labels 18 dies from Spellbinders, and their Grommet Tags set as well.  I hope the pearls adds to the elegant tone of the card.  This card will be entered in the Friends of Speedy TV challenge, Whimsical Designs, and Penny's Challenges to create a white card.  Stop by again soon!

Greetings from Afar

Hello, Friends!  We just returned from Savannah and to commemorate our bus trip, I made a card using a train and a mountain parkway stamp.  Odd, yes, but that's how my mind works.  I'm surprised that I didn't end up with a stamped image depicting Paris.  The train image is from MFP, the other stamps are from a clear set from Inkadinkado, I believe.  The MFP Simple Salutations challenge is to use an embellishment on the card so the painted wooden moon sits in a prominent space.  Thanks for stopping by!

Mini Bookmarks

Hello, Friends!  Back again to take a peek?  So glad you could stop by to see my Mini Bookmarks.  Have you ever had strips left over from card making?  Of course, you have.  Well,  I've been making Mini Bookmarks and want to share two of my favorites.  You can see from the bookmark on the right, what size it is.  It's a small mailing label with the image stamped on it.  The one on the left is two leftover strips with a popped-up sentiments and mini punch outs, both from SU!  These are for the MFP /Speedy Fox and Friends challenge here.  We're expecting rain here for the next few days.  Flowers in bloom soon!

A is for Abundance

Think back to when the book Simple Abundance first hit the shelves.  I remember it well.  It is always good to revisit the "what's good about this" idea daily to keep your focus from a book that became one of my all-time favorites.  Today's card celebrates Abundance and meets several challenges.  But, best of all, it's a reminder to myself that no matter who or what in life might disappoint you temporarily, each day brings a multitude of blessings to celebrate.  Today, celebrate your blessings as  well!  Make a card that reminds you of your blessings and prop it up in a place where you will see it often.
Challenges:  MFP/Speedy TV Tutorial --Scrap Attack;  MFP/Speedy TV Inspirational -- Rainbows;   Speedy Fox and Friends --the Letter A;   MFP/FOSTV--favorite book, movie, or song;  Speedy TV Simple Salutations 38;  Make It Monday--Anything Goes;   Word Art Wednesday.
