In the Spirit of Gratitude

Hello again!   We are so blessed and in the spirit of gratitude, we are going through drawers, closets, and the garage donating items to those who might need it.  Do you have a "hot spot" that needs to be de-cluttered?  You will find treasures for someone else to enjoy, I guarantee it!  So today's card is a TY card using an image from Mark's Finest Papers. The stamp set is all about good fortune so it is perfect for this time of year when we are all giving thanks.   It was fun to get out the embossing powder and heat gun to create a dramatic focal point to follow their sketch at the Oriental Challenge at MFP/SpeedyTV.

Autumn Is in the Air

Hello, Friends!  It's so great to have you stop by again.   It's time for a card for the Tuesday Throwdown challenge.  This week the theme is gratitude, and we are very grateful here in Florida for some cooler temperatures.  You can almost feel autumn in the air, at least in the mornings.
My image this week is from Sweet 'n Sassy.  Stop in and see all their wonderful images HERE.  I used markers and chalks to color the collage image and then piled on the simple frame layers to pull out the subtle colors.  A polka-dotted ribbon and I deemed it "done".  Stop by again soon and be sure to enter the Tuesday Throwdown challenge so I can leave some lovely comments on your blog post!

Salty Santas

Here are some salt dough Santas.   These are fun to make and I just couldn't stop!  Check out the other entries at MFP 12 Days of Christmas.  Well, not back to those last 4 craft totes I have to sort and sift through.  It's been fun working on these challenges!

Try some!

Why not go into your kitchen and find these 3 common ingredients and have some fun?  Here are more ornaments for the challenge at MFP for the 12 Days of Christmas.

Easy Peasy!

I made more salt dough ornaments for the 12 Days of Christmas challenge at MFP HERE.

Makin' ornaments...

Here are more of my ornaments for the MFP challenge HERE.  I have ornament hangers in the attic somewhere....

Three ingredients for fun...

I've been in the kitchen mixing up salt, flour, and water and look what I've made for the 12 Days of Christmas at Mark's Finest Papers!

White Scene

Here's another white on white card where the shadows were left in the photo for emphasis of the shapes.   It's for a challenge at Speedy Fox & Friends.  Hope you like it!  I will enter it also at Beccy's Place.

White Nativity

It's funny that I am usually trying to take out the shadows from my pictures, but for white on white cards, I have to be sure I have shadows so you can see the layers.  Creating a new light box for photos is on my to-do list and if anyone has a great way to do one, be sure to let me know.  So here's a white on white card for a challenge at  Speedy Fox and Friends and Beccy's Place.  I hope you can see the little nativity scene.

Quilting fun and banners

Have you been having fun checking out what we are all doing for the 12 Days of Christmas challenge at MFP?  It has really gotten us going on our holiday to-do lists!  Today, I have another quilt-themed banner card.  I am having fun with these!

Merry, Merry!

Back again with a quilt-themed banner card.  Hope you like it and it's for the 12 Days of Christmas challenges at mfpMark's Finest Papers.  So are you feeling merry yet?

Banner Shape Card

Hi again!  I've created a banner shape card for you called Merry & Bright.  It's for the challenge at  http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com/2013/11/12-days-of-christmas-challenge-day-11.html     I've been having lots of fun with their challenges and now my holiday cards are well on their way to completion!  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek at what I've been up to!

Imagine...create

Hi friends!  Back again with a tp roll mini album all about dreams and friendship.  It's for the MFP 12 Days of Christmas challenge HERE.  It started with a stamped master board sheet and then grew into this mini album complete with pull-out tags.  Stop by again and see what I've created between now and the holidays!

Butterflies are always appropriate...

I haven't found too many stampers or crafters who don't love butterflies so when I saw a challenge for the 12 Days of Christmas at Mark's Finest Papers, I knew that at least one of my projects would center around butterflies.  Here are photos of my finished project:

My project has an image with a special pearl ex technique that I have been hoarding for years.  It uses 5 tp tubes and each page is decorated with butterfly die cuts.  I'm sure the recipient will love the colors of that wonderful designer paper as well.

It's recycle time!

Isn't it totally great when you find a way to recycle an item for a craft project?  That much ignored item--a toilet paper roll!  And here it is in another form for the MFP 12 Days of Christmas challenges.  It's a holiday theme mini album.

Snow Gifts Sleigh

Hi, Friends.  Here's another ornament to get you in the mood for the holidays.  It's an MFP image called Snow Gifts and some season's greetings ribbon that I just love.  I will enter it in the 12 Days of Christmas challenge HERE.

It's a Banner Day!

Hi there!  Ever purchase a die and have it sit there?  I'm thinking of purchasing magnetic sheets if I can find a good source for the insides of my craft cabinets.  I think I would use my dies more if they came out of the SU cases.  Anyway, today's project uses a much-neglected die.  I challenged myself to use two different sizes.  Yes, it's a wonderful die and yet I never think of it.  My card is for the MFP 12 Days of Christmas challenges HERE.

Ho Ho Ho Time Soon

Can you believe it's November already?  And you know how quickly this month flies by.  I'm sharing another holiday project to get you in the mood for all the holiday fun.  It's for the 12 Days of Christmas challenge at MFP.  It was fun to make!

Craft Room Fun

Hi, Friends!  I've been playing in the craft room with a glue gun, ribbon, and stamps to create some ornaments.  Here is another one with an old world Santa feel and an MFP sentiment.  It's for the 12 Days of Christmas you can see HERE.

Got Snow?

Florida ornaments are few and far-between as we say.  So I think you might enjoy this one made for the MFP 12 Days of Christmas challenge HERE.  I glittered up the snow girl sand sculpture and used a jute hanger.  Like those Florida colors?

Grab that glue gun!

Hi, Friends!  Back again and taking a break from the craft room to upload some projects for the MFP 12 Days of Christmas HERE.  I have the glue gun burns on my fingers to prove that I've been having fun with Day 9 of the challenge!  Thought I should share a Florida-themed one first!

I {Heart] You Word Card

Hello again, Friends!  It's time for a {PIN}spirational Challenges card as a member of the design team using a fabulous Kenny K image.  You can find more wonderful images HERE.  It's hard to believe that I had never used a digital image before I put on my {PIN}DT hat and now I am totally addicted to them.  For this card, I chose a word card from the Splitcoaststampers site.  It's amazing that with my studio almost packed for the trip south, I could assemble this card.  Makes me wonder about the items in those boxes....  Anyway, hope you enjoy the card and the non-traditional colors used.

Happy Fall

I will be saying goodbye to fall as we head south tomorrow so this card will remind me of the beautiful colors I see from my windows.

I'm not sure what this fancy fold card is called, but I like the technique a lot.

It keeps opening and provides surprises each time.  You can see this card again at Make it Monday, Word Art Wednesday, and MFP/Speedy Fox and Friends.

Take Time

Watching the leaves fall and seeing bright blue skies here.  Time to post a fall card for a challenge at Mark's Finest Papers/Speedy Fox and Friends.

This is one of my favorite sentiment stamps and a good reminder to enjoy what life has to offer!  This is a fancy fold accordion card, always a fave.

Look for this card at the Make It Monday and Word Art Wednesday challenges.

Stacking More Fun and Treats

Do you love pretzel barrels?  I certainly do so it's no surprise that when thinking of a candy stack or a treat stack, I thought of sour dough pretzel barrels.  Believe me, they are addicting once  you get started.  Dipped into mustard?  Heavenly.  The ribbon even has a mustard color to it.  So here's my pretzel stack for the 12 Days of Christmas at MFP.  It will look great on a long package!

And here is the top of the "stack"

Orbit Stack

Hey there!  Back again with another challenge post for the 12 Days of Christmas at MFP.  I have to post non-stop to get everything done before we leave.  Sorry I am having to stack my fun.  But speaking of stacking fun...This time it's called a candy stack that I turned into a treat stack of packages of Orbit.  I just love that color blue.  I used bright shoelaces from a dollar store for the ties. The top of the stack has the MFP sentiment Enjoy from Enjoy the Season sentiment I used on the mason jar candle.  Come back again soon to see what else I've created!

Form and Function Plus

Friends, we have mice in NC.  We sometimes see them up close and personal so we always have mousetraps on hand.  Who would have thought I would be pulling them out for a 12 Days of Christmas Challenge at MFP!  Out came the acrylic paint, dp, and punch for a bright and cheery magnet.  Thanks for stopping by....and have you considered following my blog? I am hoping to reach my goal...

Enjoy the Lights of the Holiday Season

More pretties for the 12 Days of Christmas at Mark's Finest Papers.  Day 6 of the challenge is a mason jar candle and here are photos of my project.

Sentiment from MFP

Tag! You're It!

Trending tags again.  This time more of a vintage feel with muted colors and prints.  This time I know exactly which gift it will grace.  I hope I feel inspired to try more.  They are so wonderful to have on hand.  This is for the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge at MFP.  Stop in and take a look!

Let's Play Tag!

Greetings again!  Today I'm making 3-D tags for the holidays.  Just as the ornament punch was about to be packed, inspiration hit me and here is the result.  So now I have the tag, but what gift to attach it to?  Argyle socks!  I will enter this tag into the 12 Days of Christmas challenge at MFP.

Pine Cone Branch

Hi there!  Don't forget that if you've been stopping by a lot, please follow me.  My goal is 100 followers.  This Post It Holder uses  images and a sentiment from MFP.  This is for Day 4 of the challenge at
So what are you waiting for?  Follow me and join the challenge!

Uplifting Messages

Hello again!  I know you are seeing a trend here.  Between packing chores, I am playing along with the Mark's Finest Papers 12 Days of Christmas Challenge.  I needed a bit of cheering up as I stared at yet another box to fill so I chose this image from MFP.  Check out the challenge at:
http://marksfinestpapers.blogspot.com/2013/10/12-days-of-christmas-challenge-day-4.html    I will enter this at Word Art Wednesday as well.

First Freeze

Here is a Post-It Holder decorated with an image from MFP.   I am sad to say we have had our first really low temperatures and the last of my daisies are drooping their petals.  Time to leave for a warmer climate.   Check out the challenge at
