You use the image, make something wonderful, and receive a prize for your efforts.
What could be better than that!

Remember, you only have a few more days to enter the progressive challenge!

When flowers bloom, hope grows...

Hello again!   I am so happy to be a member of Deedee's team and have a card to share with you today with images from Deedee's Digis.  The set called Bloom and Grow is SO versatile and I know it will soon become a favorite.

I am happy to report, we are having spring here in Florida.  I hope you too are seeing some signs of this glorious season where you live.  I know some of you will have to wait a bit longer.  I have amaryllis, bush daisies, and geraniums in bloom now so I thought I would post a card that will bring you happy thoughts of blooming flowers.

If my dear Mother were alive, this would be the card she would receive in May and the sentiment would read Happy Mother's Day.  This sentiment from Deedee's set is so lovely, I thought you would like it as well.

 I used:

Paper:  DCVW
Embossing Folder:  Swiss Dots
Stamps: TAC basket
Digis: Deedee's Digis
Dies: Spellbinder's Tags
Embellishments:  fiber cord

Here is the set of digis I used from Deedee's Digis:

Birthday Bee Tag

Happy Thursday!  Today I'm wearing my "happy hat" as a DT member for Diane's Daydream Designs.    Although most of us are thinking Easter pastels at this time of year, this card almost created itself, and sometimes you just have to let that card see the light of day.

I love the vibrant colors of this card and can't seem to get enough of black and white gingham ribbon.  Those of you who have read my blog know that I am a daisy girl and I also can't get enough of flowers with daisy-like petals.

It's the small details in a digi set that make it so versatile. I like that there is a space left on the tag where you can write a personal message or a person's name or attach a die cut as I did.  I love the cute bees and couldn't resist adding the larger one to balance out the card.  The background paper of this tag and the papers in the coordinating paper set are just perfect.

For my card, I used:
Papers: DCWV Card Stock Stack
Digis:  Diane's Daydream Designs
Dies:  Provocraft/Cuttlebug words, Cheery Lynn honeycomb
Ribbon:  Offray
Adhesive:  TomBow

A Little Shabby, A Little Chic

Happy Tuesday!  Today I am sharing a "shabby chic" style card for the Tuesday Throwdown.   We hope you will stop by and join our challenge.

My challenge as a TTDT member was to use ribbon and the "shabby chic" style.  My challenge to myself was to use my own homemade metallic designer paper, a new die from Cheery Lynn and one from Memory Box.  I used a set of stamps from Graphic 45 called Secret Garden that had never seen any of my ink pads.  I chalked the bird in blue to draw attention to it.  A border punch from EK Shapers out of distressed homemade dp and a little distress ink on the birdcage and doily as well.

What fun it was to pile on all the elements to bring the piece alive.  Thanks for stopping by to see my project!   Be sure to visit Really Reasonable Ribbon, our sponsor this week, and check out all the amazing products they carry!

I am happy to support the following challenges:

Bee-lieve and Bee Happy!

Happy Monday!  Today I bring you thoughts of warmer spring temperatures and flowers.  The image is from Deedee's Digis from a set called "Bee-lieve" and you will just love all the sentiments and images in this set.  The set includes outline and pre-colored images, layering images, and 3 wonderful sentiments and just brings a smile to my face.  I hope my card brings a smile to you as well.

I used the matching digi papers to create a faux quilt background and ended up with a square card, something I seldom make.   Then a bit of ribbon, a Spellbinders tag die and my card was completed.

Here is the set I used called "Bee-lieve."

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!  Bee Happy!

A Spotlight Winner

Happy Sunday!  Crafting By Designs is having an Anything Goes Challenge this month and I have been featured as a spotlight winner from the last challenge.  I am thrilled!  This is the card I have shared with the Crafting By Designs team and it is posted on their blog today.  Perhaps you will be inspired to create something based on a technique or idea I have shared with you today or in the past.

If you have visited my blog before you know that I love to make my own background papers and you will see an example of a gesso with inks technique inside the window of the card.  Dry embossing, a Memory Box Poppy die, and a MS butterfly punch --all out of another piece of coordinating original paper I also made--and the card came together easily.

Thank you for visiting and please come again soon!

Double Hearts, Double Love

Hello, Friends!  Welcome again to my blog. Special welcome to Karen and Kathlene, my new followers.   Today's card will be a special Spring/Easter card for someone special. It's called a Standing Heart Easel card and uses 2 layers of folded hearts.  I used images from Diane's Daydream Designs sets called Heart of Daisies color set and the Tweethearts outline set.  I am happy to be a member of Diane's Dream Team to bring you these wonderful images!

The card has two sections.  When you lift up the front heart, you see another heart inside.  Each heart nestles behind the other to create a cute standing card.

You can get a better idea of how the card goes together with the angled view below.

I have also seen this type of card done with 3 graduated heart sections, but using 2 layers allowed me to pop up several elements for additional interest and keep the bulk of the card down a bit.

My Heart Is Filled with Daisies and Love

Hello, again!  I have a card to share with you today from Diane's Daydream Designs.  The set is called Heart of Daisies and has companion sets called Mother's Garden with papers, sentiments, and embellishments.

We will all soon be thinking of Mother's Day.  If you are lucky enough to have your mother still with you, be thankful.  If you are like me and have lost your mother, you will be revering those wonderful memories you have of the woman who gave you so much to be thankful for.  Before I have a big cry, here is my card, and I hope it will inspire you to celebrate your mother and her gifts to you.

To create this card, I used an MS border punch, Spellbinders heart dies, and the Diane's Daydream Designs image from Heart of Daisies.  The dry embossed quilt pattern is several of the papers from the Mother's Garden digital paper set.
And here are the coordinated sets.

Stop in and see the lovely images and papers Diane has to offer.  You will be glad you did!
