Head over to your studio because you have a few more days to join in on the September Deedee's Digis Progressive Challenge.  If you create one project using her Digi of the Month Fall Warm Up, you get the next month's image FREE.  Who can resist that?  And this little chipmunk is really so cute and there is another image as well and plenty of sentiments to get your creative juices flowing. So get creating, friends, and enter today!

Here is my card to inspire you:

This is a Sizzix standing card and here is the view with you catch the top part of the card in the little slot.

And here is the card from the side so you can see how it "stands".

How happy I was to finally find the leaves I punched out and die cut last year in a marathon "leaf spree."  It was carefully place in a drawer marked Die Cut Leaves which is probably how I missed it!

Fall is in the Air

It's September, the days are getting shorter, and the angle of sunlight creates softer shadows.  Breezes force the first of the leaves off the branches before the colors can change.  The summer flowers are beginning to fade and the mums are in the garden departments.  Fall is in the air!

Today I have a flip card using images from Diane's Daydream Designs that I would like to share at the Just Us Girls Challenge.  It's a photo inspiration challenge and I believe this card will qualify.

The outside uses a sentiment from Fall Is in the Air.

The inside circle has an image from Pumpkins and Sunflowers.

Zentangle Rose

Who doesn't like to doodle?  Doodling is very "zen" and a zentangle is even more "zen".   It's time for a Speedy Fox and Friends challenge on the Mark's Finest Papers Blog.  This week's theme is "zentangle."  I chose a set called Rose and have to admit this was the first time I have tried this technique.  What do you think?  It's fun and you can lose yourself doodling!

Birthday Celebrations at My Sheri Crafts

Hello, my friends!  Today I am happy to share a project as guest designer at the My Sheri Crafts challenge.  Thanks so much, Sheri, for inviting me to participate.  The theme of the challenge is "birthday celebrations."  You can't ever have enough birthday cards on hand so why don't you stop in and participate.

My card uses images from Diane's Daydream Designs from a set called Quilted from the Heart and the sentiment is from Diane's collaboration with Kris Breach called Birthday Bash KD Kit.  I embossed the kraft card blank with a wood grain embossing folder, popped up each layer and tied a jute bow.  I'm thinking fall since the first official day of fall is right around the corner.

Thanks for stopping in today and join me at these challenges:

It's County Fair Time!

The smell of popcorn and corn dogs, whirling lights of the rides, and the squeals of happy riders.   It's time for a Speedy Fox and Friends challenge on the Mark's Finest Papers Blog.  This week's theme is "county fair."    Fall is the best time for a state or county fair because the hay bales, pumpkins, and yummy smells from the food vendors, just make it so much more fun!  I used Pumpkins and Sunflowers, Prisma pencils with baby oil, and some embossing strips from my friend Gail's blog candy. Thanks, Gail, you're the best!

Happy Tuesday!  I am sharing a cheerful card today using an image from a KD Kit that you can find at Diane's Daydream Designs. It's a collaboration set from Diane Noble and Kris Breach and is so cute!   It's bright and sunny and this image is perfect for a little boy.  I'm entering it in the progressive challenge at Imagine That.

Picnic Time

Do prefer summer or fall picnics?  I prefer fall.  There's something about the crisp air and changing colors of the leaves that makes the food taste extra yummy.  When we were cutting up the last watermelon this week, it made me think of picnics and this set of digis from Deedee's Digis.  I love the red, white, and black combo, don't you?

Be sure to check in at Deedee's for her September release. She's been really busy and has created 12 new sets for our enjoyment.

Back to School

It's back to school time and the stores have been jam packed with school supplies.  Nothing could be more fun for a child than to have some of those wonderful supplies in their backpack.  That inspired me to do a digital collage using Diane's Daydream Designs set called School Supplies Color Set you can find HERE.  I think it is a love for these supplies that created a whole culture of crafty people.  Here is my card.

Thank you for being my friend! SFF 228

Hey!  Welcome back friends and new followers.   It's time for a Speedy Fox and Friends challenge on the Mark's Finest Papers Blog.  This week's theme is "friendship and use glitter."  I am "glitter challenged" and often find more glitter on horizontal surfaces than on my card.  I decided to minimize a possible crisis and focused the glitter on a small surface of my card--the sentiment.  Thanks for being my friend comes from the Autumn Friendship mini set, and the snowman is from the Please Snow set.  The background uses Snowflakes and I also used a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch.   Here's my card:

Join us at the MFP blog with 5 chances to win a stamp set!

Oriental Sketch Challenge Time!

It's time for the Mark's Finest Papers/Speedy TV  Oriental Sketch Challenge.  My card uses a set called Koi Fish.  The sketch this week is:

I changed the sketch to go vertically and heat embossed the background with some gold fish.  Then I used some Spellbinders Cut, Fold, and Tuck dies and centered the ying yang symbol in the center of the smaller die cut.

Why not join us?  Use an Oriental element on your card, follow the sketch, and enter HERE.  Thanks for stopping by today and we hope to see you at the Oriental Sketch Challenge .

Back-to-School for Teachers

Today I have a back-to-school card for a teacher using images and sentiments from  Deedee's Digis.  As an ex-teacher, Labor Day was always a special holiday.  It was my last chance to take a deep breath before the year picked up momentum.   The classroom was set up, class rolls ready, and my subconscious checklist would be clicking off non-stop.  So, today, instead of creating a card for students, I made a card for a teacher friend--a reminder to take time for herself as the busy school year begins.  Here's the card...

Don't you just love it when you can mix and match stamp sets?  I used four sets for this card:  Chalk Talk ( mouse and chalkboard), High School Daze (sentiment on cup), Coffee Cup Greetings (cup with pencils), and So Cool (take time message). Check out all these sets in the Summer and Back-to-School section of Deedee's shop.

I will share my card at these challenges:

Sweet Little One

It's time for a Tuesday Throwdown challenges and the theme this week is "sweet little one."  I am using an image from Robyn's Fetish.  I used Copic markers, a Spellbinders die, a Darice embossing folder called Quilt, and some plaid designer paper.  I used a Wink of Stella clear glitter brush to add some sparkle to her wings and star.

Join us at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week!
