Rust, Blue, and Green

The Color Challenge at Mark's Finest Papers/Speedy TV challenges-- what could be easier than using this week's colors:  rust, blue, and green.  Water coloring is all the rage and I think that's because we forget how wonderful Twinkling H20's are.  They add such a lovely shimmer to a card.  Here's my card using a set called Medallion.

I took another photo so you could see the shine of the black embossing and the Twinkling H20's.

See you soon!

Meow

We're thinking little munchkins in Halloween costumes this week at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge.  This image is from Chi Chi Memories and is really a cutie. It's called Tiger Girl and can be found HERE.  I wish this little girl would come to my door on October 31st!

See you soon!

Take Time to Play in the Leaves

Hi, all!  I couldn't resist posting another fall card since I have been sitting watching the leaves twirl and swirl to the ground.  This image is from Deedee's Digis and is called Fall Bulldog.  I have a friend who does dog rescue work and this will be a perfect card to send to her so I wanted to photograph it and get it posted before it went into the mail. She will undoubtedly share it with Clem, her bulldog!

This wonderful set is in the Free to Try section at Deedee's shop.  Can you believe it? Check it out and don't forget to take time to play in the leaves!

See ya'!

Falling for Fall

Our mountain is full of poplar and birch yellows and we take rides through the countryside to see the yellows and oranges on the hillsides.

If I had my choice, I would take a long vacation beginning in New England and following fall all the way down to Georgia.  A friend of mine just visited north Georgia and the colors haven't started there yet so it seems my trip would continue well into November in order to "follow fall."

Did you guess that I have another fall card to share with you today?

Image:  Diane's Daydream Designs Signs of Fall
Papers:  Recollections and Diane's Daydream Designs
Embellishments:    Darice Quilt embossing folder, MS corner punch, Offray ribbon

Here's a little bit of detail I used at the bottom of the card using a MS corner punch to create a border.

Happy Fall, y'all!

Cherry Pie Time

Hello again!  This summer our little cherry tree was full of cherries.  Don got up on the ladder and picked and picked.  We froze the harvest and just last week, I made a delicious cherry pie--my favorite.  In honor of my recent baked goodies, I have a card to share using images from Doodle Pantry for the monthly challenge.  I used the SU thin lit flip die so I could use another image on the inside.  Cherry pie!  Yum!

Hello, Friends!  We're having a celebration and my card today uses a set from Deedee's Digis that will be so wonderful for SO many events.  Best of all, you can get it for free.  Keep reading to find out how.

For this card, the background paper is one of four papers from the set, and I chose the balloon centerpiece image and Party Time as my sentiment.

I used Plaid 's Royal Coat Dimensional Magic on the Balloons to add shine to my one layer card.

Polka Dot Fun

Join us at the MFF/SFF Challenge this week and use layers of torn paper.  My card uses Polka Dot Country and all my favorite papers to inspire you to join us!

I liked the look of the image with the embossing to make it pop against all those other dotted papers.  There was plenty of color on the card so I left the image black and white.

Your Friendship Is Chicken Soup for My Soul

Hi all!  It's time for a get well card using the cutest set from Deedee's Digis called Chicken Soup Wishes.  I'm sending get well wishes to a very special and talented lady.  Today I made a pop-up card and brought out the Spellbinder and Sizzix dies to add to the fun.  Not quite sure how to correctly photograph this type of card, but here is my first attempt.

Take a peek at this set.  It is really a cutie!

Awareness and a DT Call

It's time for a Tuesday Throwdown challenge and the theme this week is awareness.  We all think pink in October for breast cancer awareness, but there are so many other causes that need our attention.  For today's card, I am using an image from Bugaboo Stamps called Diabetic Boy.

Join us at the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge this week and show your awareness of a cause that touches your heart.  Consider joining our team by answering the DT Call posted  at the top of the blog.

Handmade Happiness

I am so happy to have to stop in again to see what I've done with Deedee's Digis.  This cute little mouse is busy cutting and pasting a wonderful project to share with a friend.

The inside of the flip card has the sentiment and I left myself plenty of room to write a note to my friend.  Don't you just love the digital paper Deedee designed?  I love it and hope you do too.
