Thinking of You Mum

Hope you will have time to join us
at the MFP/SFF challenge this week.
Our technique this week is to
emboss an image, bleach it, let it dry, and then color it.
I chose black card stock,
embossed an image from the Mum set,
and then colored it with Twinkling H20's.
I brayered gold ink onto a crackle embossing folder from Darice
and embossed the front of the card,
and added an embossed sentiment.

Is there any reason you can't
join us this week?

See you soon!

I'm a "Flamingo!"

I'm a "flamingo," not a "snow bird" so when I saw this set from
Deedee's Digis, of course, I had to have it.
So while you're all thinking red and green and gold and silver,
I will be thinking PINK!
After you check out my card today, be sure to go to the Deedee's Digis site
for a Customer Appreciation 50% off sale!

Do you know about Deedee's Progressive Challenge?

If you create one project using the digi of the month,
you get the next month's image FREE.
The new DOM will be revealed
at the first of the month and
you will have the whole month to play along!

Burgundy, Gold, and Green

Join us at the Color Challenge
at Mark's Finest Papers/Speedy TV challenges.
Use burgundy, gold, and green.
Here's my CAS card using a set called Java Time.
For some reason, I often keep it "clean and simple"
when I use gold embossing on a card.
Want to join me for some coffee?

See you soon!

Counting My Blessings

Is your gratitude journal up to date?
This month is the perfect time to
begin that habit again.
Don't we all have so much to be thankful for?
We will be proclaiming it aloud tomorrow, but
hopefully, we are keeping gratitude
in our hearts all year long.
If I kept an "illustrated" journal,
this card front would go inside.

    So Thankful We're Friends

Dressing.  That's what I am sharing with friends who were kind
to invite us to share Thanksgiving with them.
If anyone has a favorite recipe,
feel free to send it along.
    I'm thinking cranberries and pecans...

I love this cornucopia image and sentiment from
and decided it would be the perfect
thank you card for our friends.

    Border Something with Circles

Come and join us at the MFP/SFF challenge this week
    and border something with circles.

I used an MFP snowman and
Spellbinders dies to create my circles.
I wanted to use non-traditional colors
so I chose aqua and purple.
    Isn't he cute?

Join us this week and border something
    with circles.

    See you soon!

    My Grateful Heart

Sometimes you will see a sentiment
and it will "speak" to you
because of its simplicity and use of color.
Plus there was that darling pumpkin as well.
It's all to be found at Diane's Daydream Designs
I challenged myself to work from the basket
and here is my completed card.
     I hope you like it.

    Snowman Soup

Crafting is on the back burner as I try to bring some semblance of order to my crafting area.  Yesterday was a trip to the "how to," big box store to purchase a cabinet.  It seems that my craft supplies have been multiplying since I have started re-organizing.

No cabinet seems to have enough or correctly-spaced shelves so we've been making sawdust and playing with plywood.  The good news?  The cabinet is together.  The bad news--we have extra nuts, bolts, and nails.  Not always a good sign as far as projects go.

But I do have GOOD news for YOU. Deedee's Digis is giving away a wonderful freebie set until Friday.  It's called Snowman Soup and it is SO cute!

Don't you just love all the elements in this set?  While you are visiting Deedee's store, be sure to check out Pink Christmas--a personal fave-- and some of the snowman sets.  And don't forget that the digi of the month, Mix It Up, is on sale and you can participate in the progressive challenge using this set until the end of the month.

Toodles!  I am off to paint shelves.

    Red, Yellow, and Gray

Hello!  I am happy to share my project
    for the Color Challenge
at Mark's Finest Papers/Speedy TV challenges.
This week's colors are red, yellow, and gray.
Here's my card using a set called Hot Air Balloon.

Can you see the shine of the Twinkling H20's on the hot air balloon?

I love this border punch that was "gifted" from a friend.
I thought it was perfect for a vintage looking balloon.

Swirls and Pearls at Tuesday Throwdown

The Tuesday Throwdown Team B is inspiring you this week
with the theme "swirls and pearls."
Our sponsor is Sweet N Sassy and
I chose Sweet Cocoa for my project.
Instead of a card, I have a stocking stuffer
or sweet little gift for someone who loves hot chocolate.

I hope I end up giving it away because I LOVE hot chocolate...
    or chocolate candy...
    or brownies...

    See you soon!
