Hello Beautiful Butterflies

We have a sketch for you today for the Speedy Fox and Friends/MFP Stamp Shop Challenge.  The background paper was made on watercolor paper using the same pad but had been filed away in my stash.  I used the stamp set Flower Blocks and the butterflies stamped with a Kaleidocolor rainbow stamp pad.  Then I stamped the sentiment with Ranger Adirondack denim blue from the Swallowtail set.

It's a gray and rainy day here today so this card brightened my spirits.  Hope it will brighten yours enough for you to join us and try our sketch!

Seven Layers of Fun

Do you like 7 Layer Dip?  You know, the Mexican dip with all the layers?  Well, it's one of my favorites. Now Speedy Fox and Friends is asking you to make a 7 Layer card.  Yep, you pile on the layers and it's so much fun.  Here's my card and I hope to see your card with 7 layers soon!

Inchie Grid

Here's a new technique for you--Inchie Grid.  Get out your scoring board and your bone folder and create the perfect background for "inches" or punched squares.  That's your challenge this week at the MFP Stamp Shop Blog for Speedy Fox and Friends.  Join us!

Angled Papers and Layers

SFF this week wants you to use strips of angled papers and since I am in a "butterfly mood", mine just had to have butterflies and bling.  I found this piece of background already in my stash and pulled strips for the horizontal pieces and label dies inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I hope Nadine considers it a compliment.   Using a MFP Stamp Shop sentiment and adding bling and pearls finished it off.  Angle some paper and join us for the challenge.

Make Your Own Chevrons

Hello, dear friends. Kren here again with a challenge to use chevrons on a card.  You may own a "rick rack" style die, but I do not.  Lucky for me, SpeedyTV has a tutorial on how to make your own chevrons which you can find in the tutorial section.  It was so easy and I will be making my own chevron embellishments from now on.

Not a member of SpeedyTV?  It's free and easy to become part of the MFP family.

I used Java Time to invite a friend to have coffee with this "tent topper" card.

I wanted a bright and cheery card so I thought the bold colors of the chevron and the circle for the image would make it "pop."  Hope you like the effect.

The inside has another chevron and a little space for my message.

Hope you will join us at the MFP Stamp Shop blog challenge/SFF this week.

National Scrapbook Day

Although I can appreciate scrapbook pages, cards are my passion.  So instead of sharing a scrapbook page today for National Scrapbook Day, I invite you to CASE a card I made using the file folder template.  It's a fun card to make and perfect for all of Deedee's Digis.  Why not give it a try!  I used a set called Unlikely Places.
